If I smoke cigarettes will it affect my insurance premium?
Smokers are always rated higher by insurance companies. Your insurance premium will probably be classed "Standard". To qualify for a "Preferred" insurance class, most insurance companies stipulate that you must have stopped smoking at least 12 months before your insurance application. However, because we have been in the insurance market for over 25 years, we have found certain insurance companies that will provide lower insurance premiums for smokers.
